Virginian-Pilot, January 8, 1901
The remains of Mrs. W. A. [Mary A.] Creekmur, who departed this life in 
Washington, D. C., last week, reached the city via the Norfolk and Washington 
steamer Sunday morning and were met at the steamer's wharf by the relative and 
friends of the deceased. The body was conveyed to Elmwood Cemetery, where the 
interment took place. There services at the grave were conducted by Rev. H. E. 
Johnson, D. D., of Cumberland Street M. E. Church. Following were the pall-bearers:
Messrs. A. M. 
bearers: Messrs. A. M. Eley, Hans Miller, Owens and Cooper.
