Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, October 15, 1991 
Ruby Johnson Crenshaw of the 900 block of Adelphi Road, a retired schoolteacher,
died Oct. 13, 1991, in a hospital.

Mrs. Crenshaw was born in Norfolk and had taught in the Norfolk public schools
for 35 years. She was a member of Rock Church and the Virginia Education
Association and was a volunteer with CBN. She was the widow of Lindwood Crenshaw.

Survivors include two nieces and a nephew, including Brenda Simpson of Virginia
Beach.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Rock Church by the Rev. John
Gimenez. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will begin at 2 p.m
Wednesday in Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home. The body will be placed in church at
10 a.m. Thursday. The family will assemble at 11 a.m. at the residence for the
procession.
