Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, December 10, 1997 
Mary Wray Crenshaw of the 2800 block of Chesapeake Blvd. died Dec. 7, 1997, in
Sentara Leigh Hospital.

Born in Hampton, she was the widow of Melvin Crenshaw and a dietician for
Norfolk Naval Supply. She was an active member of St. Andrews Temple C.O.G.I.C.
for more than 50 years where she was a deaconess, Sunday school teacher, and a
member of the Missionary Board and the Prayer Band.

Survivors include two daughters, Gustava Patterson of Philadelphia, Pa. and
Constance C. Williams of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Darlene Henderson of New
Jersey and Michael Crenshaw of Norfolk; three great-grandchildren, Nicole
Henderson of New Jersey, Michael Crenshaw Jr. of Norfolk, Ravon Henderson of New
Jersey; a daughter-in-law, Rosetta Crenshaw of Norfolk; and a host of other
relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in St. Andrews Temple C.O.-G.I.C.
by Mother Bishop Lauretta Jones. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Carlos A.
Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. The family
will assemble at the residence for the procession. The remains will be ready for
viewing from 3 to 8 p.m. today and will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Thursday.
