She was a native of Princess Anne County and was the widow of Wilmont H. Crews. She had retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a clerk after 24 years. She was a life member of Kempsville Baptist Church and a member of the Association of Retired Persons. Survivors include three cousins, Linwood Wright, Willie Held and Beulah Wood, all of Virginia Beach. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Revs. Cully Culpepper and Charles H. Jones. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B.R. Middleton, 1612 Wakefield Drive, Virginia Beach.
