Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 7, 1954

Mrs. Sue Ann Kiernan Crockett, 59, wife of Joseph Stanley Crockett, died in a 
Richmond hospital yesterday.
Mrs. Crockett was a native of Norfolk and was the daughter of the late James V. 
Kiernan and Mrs. Capitola McPherson Kiernan. A resident of Roane, she was in 
Richmond for hospital treatment.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Merlin E. Grant, Milwaukee, Wis.; Miss 
Catherine C. Crockett, of Roane and Mrs. John Conklin, of Maysville, Ky., three 
sons, J. Stanley Crockett, of Roane; Wiley M. Crockett, of Long Island, N.Y. and 
James K. Crockett, of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. 
C.W. Henderson, of Roane; Mrs. J.J. McCracken, of Falls Church; Mrs. T.G. 
Broughton, of Washington and Mrs. E.R. Kerniger, of New Jersey.
The body was removed to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, pending completion 
of funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Sue Kiernan Crockett — Funeral services for Mrs. Crockett, wife of Joseph 
Stanley Crockett, who died Saturday at Richmond, were conducted at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church yesterday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Vincent L. Campi. Burial was in 
St. Mary's Cemetery. The pallbearers were members of the family of Mrs. 
Crockett.
