Virginian Pilot January 7, 1986

Elsie Marie Crosby of 1239 W. 42nd St., a native of Norfolk, died Saturday in a 
hospital. 
Mrs. Crosby was a member of St. Mark RZUA Church.
Survivors include her husband, Cleo Crosby; a daughter, Sharyon Gordon of 
Virginia Beach; four sisters, Doris Boykins and Phoebe V. Gorham, both of 
Norfolk, Zula Shambry of New York and Jean Cobb of Indianapolis; two brothers, 
Booker T. Washington of Baltimore and Joseph F. Washington of Norfolk and two 
grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in New Bethel COGIC by Elder Howard 
Wilson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at 829 Oak Ave. 
Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
