Virginian-Pilot April 30, 1944
Mrs. Nancy Whitehurst Crosby, widow of Warren J. Crosby and a native of Norfolk, 
died in New Haven, Conn., yesterday after a short illness, according to word 
received here. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Louis L. Davis, of New Haven, 
with whom she resided; two grandchildren, Mrs. William Sachse, of Annapolis, Md., 
and Corp. Charles King, USA; one great-grandson, Richard Griswold Davis Sachse, 
and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be brought to Norfolk for burial 
and funeral arrangements announced later.
