She was a native of Princess Anne County, but had lived with her sister for the past two years. She was the widow of the late Willis Cross, who died February 1947. Mrs. Cross was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church for about 30 years. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 17, at the Pentecostal Holiness Church with the pastor, Elder Mary E. Bray, officiating, assisted by Elders Woodus and Beulah Dodson. Solos were rendered by Mrs. Alice Reid. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery. Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cross is survived by one brother, Frank Hatton of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Elnora Hunter of Norfolk and Mrs. Mary Fields of Princess Anne County, VA; and one foster daughter, Mrs. Mildred Jones of Norfolk.
