Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch May 6, 1940
CROSS, CHARLES EDWARD – At a local hospital, Sunday afternoon, May 5, 1940, at 
2:55 o’clock, CHARLES EDWARD CROSS, husband of Ruth Watkins Cross and son of the 
late Charles E. and Margaret Williams Cross, in the 57th year of his age. Funeral 
services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home TUESDAY AFTERNOON 
May 7, 1940, at 3 o’clock. Friends of the family invited to attend. Burial will be 
in Elmwood cemetery.
