Funeral services for Mrs. Martha E. Cross, 83, were conducted Saturday, Feb. 28,
at Bank Street Baptist Church, with the Rev. J. B. Henderson, pastor,
officiating.  Mrs. Cross, a native of Norfolk, died at her home, 817 E. 27th
street, after a short illness.

The daughter of Joseph and Mrs. Elizabeth Cross, Mrs. Cross had retired from
employment at the National Bank of Commerce after 45 years of service.

She was a member of Bank Street Baptist Church, where she was active in both the
Missionary and Dorcas circles.

Survivors are a brother, T. P. Cross;  two nieces, Mrs. Lydia Pierce and Mrs.
Henrietta Wilson, and one nephew, Joseph Cross, all of Philadelphia.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, with King Funeral Home in charge.
