Marcellus John Crowling Sr., 83, died March 19, 1993, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Crowling was a native of Norfolk and lifelong resident. He was a member of St. 
Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Norfolk.

Survivors include his wife, Mary C. Crowling; two daughters, Catherine C. Akers 
and Mary V. Crowling, and a son, Marcellus J. Crowling, all of Norfolk; two 
brothers, George H. Crowling of Norfolk and Joseph S. Crowling of Portsmouth; and 
two grandchildren, Carol A. and William Akers.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Cemetery. The 
family will receive friends in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, from 2 to 
4 p.m. today.
