CHESAPEAKE — Patrick M. Crowling Sr., 48, of 4225 Goldcrest Drive, retired Civil 
Service storekeeper, died Friday at 11:15 a.m. in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Norfolk and an area resident all his life, he was the husband of Mrs. 
Margaret S. Crowling and a son of Joseph Crowling Sr. and Mrs. Catherine McGuire 
Crowling.
He was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church and National Federation of 
Federal Employees.
Besides his widow and parents, surviving are a son, Patrick M. Crowling Jr., a 
student at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville; and three brothers, 
Marcellus J. Crowling Sr. and George H. Crowling Sr. of Norfolk and Joseph S. 
Crowling Jr. of Portsmouth.
The Rosary will be recited in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Matthew’s Catholic Church Monday at 10 
a.m. and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
