Norfolk Virginian-Pilot  January 24, 1945

Mrs. Katherine Donovan Crump, aged 57 years, wife of Garland Thomas Crump and 
daughter of the late Thomas and Mrs. Joanna O'Mera Donovan, died at 5:35 o'clock 
yesterday morning at a local hospital. Mrs. Crump, a native and lifelong 
resident of Norfolk, resided at 1800 Lovitt Avenue. Surviving her are six 
daughters, Mrs. M.J. Crowling and Mrs. A.F. Simpson, of Norfolk; Mrs. R.A. 
Degenhardt, of Altoona, Pa.; Mrs. H.W. Taylor and the Misses Theresa and Ada 
Crump, of Norfolk; five sons, W.T. Crump, of Norfolk; Robert T. Crump, USA; 
James L. Crump, of Norfolk; Thomas D. Crump, USA and Garland T. Crump, Jr., of 
Norfolk; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Nelle Gillerlain, of Portsmouth and 
a brother, William F. Donovan, of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church for services tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be 
in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments tonight at 7:30 o'clock.

Mrs. Katherine Donovan Crump. The body of Mrs. Crump, wife of Garland Thomas 
Crump, who died Tuesday, will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments 
to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for services today at 10 a.m. Interment will be in 
St. Mary’s Cemetery.
