Crumpler departed this life at his home, 112 North Reservoir avenue, at 6:15 o’clock a.m. yesterday after a brief illness in the 65th year of his age. The deceased was born in Southampton county, Va., but had been a resident of Norfolk for forty years, where he was well-known and esteemed as a man of unflinching integrity and upright demeanor He was a carriage maker by vocation, which he followed in Norfolk for thirty-five years. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George Silk and Mrs. Willard V. Dearing. The funeral will be held from the residence at 3 o’clock this afternoon.
