W.S. Cruser passed away at his home, Granby Street extended (Riverview), Sunday evening after an illness of two weeks from pneumonia in the 58th year of his age. The deceased was a native of Norfolk, where he had resided all of his life. He was a man of untarnished character and in flinching integrity, for which he was universally esteemed. He at one time conducted an oyster business, but of late years he was in the wholesale and retail grocery business. During the prohibition reform municipal government he served the city as a member of the council. He leaves a widow, tow sons and two daughters, Wm. C. Cruser, LeRoy S. Cruser, Mrs. William R. Loughran and Mrs. Benjamin T. Traylor, all of Norfolk; also three brothers, James H. Cruser, C.M. Cruser and H.T. Cruser, all of this city and an only sister, Mrs. Robert Bunting, of Washington D.C. The funeral will be held from the residence at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
