Ledger-Dispatch  January 2, 1942
John Cullen, aged 71, husband of Mrs. Ellen Quinn Cullen, a native of Ireland and 
a resident of Norfolk for the past 40 years, died yesterday morning at 8:45 
o'clock at the residence, 316 Ward Avenue.  He was a member of Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church and of the Holy Name Society.  Besides his wife, he is survived by 
a daughter, Miss Edith T. Cullen, of Norfolk; a sister and two brothers in 
Ireland, and an aunt, Mrs. Pat Cullen, of England.  Funeral services will be held 
at Sacred Heart Catholic Church tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock.  Interment will be 
in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Rosary services will be held at the residence tomorrow 
night at 8 o'clock.
