NORFOLK — Mrs. Virginia Pearson Cullifer, 53, of 4765 Newport Ave., the widow of 
James Cullifer and a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died Tuesday in a hospital.
She was a credit clerk at Leggett’s department store. She was a member of the 
American Business Woman’s Association.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Linda C. Johnson and Mrs. Marie C. 
Roosendaal of Chesapeake, and Mrs. Karen C. Pritchard of Virginia Beach; and five 
grandchildren.
The body was taken to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments for a funeral Thursday at 11 
a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery by the Rev. John T. Dearing and the Rev. Thomas B. 
Nee. The family will be at 2416 Lloyd Drive, Chesapeake.
