Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark October 23, 1928

Mrs. Martha Jane Cullipher, aged 77, wife of William James Cullipher, died at 
her residence, 405 Colley Avenue, yesterday morning at 3 o'clock after a 
lingering illness. She was a native of Camden County, N.C. and had been a 
resident of Norfolk for 48 years.  Besides her husband, she is survived by three 
sons, Charles E., W.J. Jr. and H.W. Cullipher, and a brother, Abner Harrison, 
all of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3:30 
o'clock from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne Road, by 
the Rev. W.H. Garman, of Old Zion Christian Church.  Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.

CULLIPHER - At her residence, 405 Colley Avenue, Monday morning, October 22, 
1928, at 3 o'clock, MRS. MARTHA JANE CULLIPHER, beloved wife of William James 
Cullipher, aged 77 years, 7 months and 4 days.
Funeral services will be conducted THIS (Tuesday) AFTERNOON at 3:30 o'clock from 
the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne Road.  Friends of the 
family invited to attend.  Burial Elmwood Cemetery.
