Virginian Pilot January 9, 1964

Mrs. Essie B. Cullipher, 74, wife of Harry W. Cullipher and daughter of Ephraim 
and Mrs. Cornelia Bunch, died in her home 3011 Racine Ave., Wednesday night.
A native of Chowan County, N.C., she lived in Norfolk 53 years.  She was a 
member of Lafayette Presbyterian Church.
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Helen E. Dawson, and two 
sons, Thomas V. Cullipher and Harry B. Cullipher, all of Norfolk; four 
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Friday at 3 
p.m. by the Rev. Dr. Raleigh M. Engle of Lafayette Presbyterian Church.  Burial 
will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
