She was a native of Washington, N. C., and had made her home here 70 years. She was the daughter of Felix and Mary Ann Brock Spry and widow of Thomas H. Culpepper. She is survived by three stepsons, David, Charles and Edward Culpepper, all of Portsmouth, and one brother, John Spry, of Norfolk. She was a member of Memorial Methodist Church and Good Will Council No. 5, Daughters of America. The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock in Memorial Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
