The Norfolk Virginian Pilot May 10., 1937
Joshua H. Culpepper, aged 82, died last night at 10:30 o'clock at the home of 
his daughter, Mrs. Belden Jones, 907 Wilson road, South Norfolk, after a short 
illness,  He was born in Hickory and had spent most of his life in South 
Norfolk, and at the time of his death was visiting his daughter.
He was a son of Henry and Letitia Culpepper, and is survived by six children, 
W.H. Culpepper, of London, Ohio; Charles W. Culpepper and Walter B Culpepper, 
of Norfolk, and Mrs. P.W. Matthews and Mrs. A. J. Etheridge, of Norfolk, and 
Mrs. Jones.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed last night, and the body was 
removed to the J.R. Williams Funeral Home, 1027 Chesapeake avenue, South 
Norfolk, to await plans for the services.
