Her funeral will take place from St. Vincent’s Hospital on Friday, 28th, at 10 a.m. Norfolk Landmark, Fri., Aug. 28, 1885, pg. 2 Cunningham-At St. Vincent’s Hospital, on Thursday, 27th of August, at 1 a.m., Sister Mary Rose Cunningham. Her funeral will take place from St. Vincent’s Hospital on this (Friday) morning at 10 o’clock. Public Ledger, Fri., Aug. 28, 1885, pg. 1 Funeral of A Sister of Charity The funeral of Sister Mary Rose (formerly Susannah) Cunningham, a native of Wexford, Ireland, and who died recently at the Hospital of St. Vincent de Paul, in the 56th year of her age, took place from that institution at 10 o’clock today. The deceased had been in this country since she was eighteen years of age, and thirty-three years ago entered the order of Emmittsburg, Md. The funeral service were conducted by Rev. Father O’Connor, assisted at the grave by Rev. Father Eadlan, of St. Dominick’s Church, Washington. The following gentleman acted as pall-bearers: Captain Thomas Kevill, William Donovan, John Hoban, James O’Rourke, P. Slavin, and M. Duggan.
