Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o’clock at Cradock Baptist Church, the Rev. J. T. Garland Moore, pastor, and the Rev. W. D. Morris, pastor of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church, Norfolk, officiating. During the service, Mrs. A. G. Hollowell sang, "Asleep in Jesus,” and Mr. Moore sang, “Goodnight Here and Good Morning Up There,” accompanied by Mrs. John Ellis. The casket bore a spray of mixed flowers and among the floral tributes were designs from Cradock Baptist Church U. S. W. V. Auxiliary, Neighbors, Sheet Metal Shop No. 17, Navy Yard. Pallbearers were H. H. Cherry, James Belote, Messrs. Allison, Berryman, Matthews and Rowley.
