Norfolk Virginian Thursday September 18, 1890

Captain G.W. Curtis, of Boston, who was badly injured on his vessel, the Lucy W. 
Snow, in the Cape Verde Islands some months ago, died at St. Vincent's Hospital 
Tuesday afternoon of heart disease and his remains have been interred in the lot 
at the Seaman's Bethel in Elmwood Cemetery.
