Norfolk Journal and Guide, March 22, 1941
John Curtis, 56, of 5000 Sewells Pt. Road, died March 2, funeral rites held
March 9 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church with the
 Rev. F. P. Wise officiating.  Interment in Calvary Cemetery with Hale’s Funeral
Parlors in charge.  A widow, Mrs. Mattie Curtis, survives.
