He was a native of Boston, and had made his home in this section 50 years. He was a son of the late William G. and Lucie Haskell Curtis and husband of Mrs. Essie McCormick. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. R.S. Milteer, of Portlock; five sons, W.S., H.D.,Jr., J.L., A.V. and J.W. Curtis and three grandchildren, all of Portlock. The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, Jackson and Jefferson streets, South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
