A native of Fentress, Norfolk County, he was retired from the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. He was a member of St. Mathews Catholic Church. Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Graham R. Harrell of Chesapeake; two nephews, Vincent E. Curtis and Herbert B. Curtis, both of Chesapeake; and a brother, William S. Curtis of Newport News. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home by the Rev. Donfred Stockert. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The Office of the Dead service will be held Monday night at 7 in the funeral home.
