The Rev. E. Paul Simms, pastor, officiated and burial was in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Custus, a native Norfolkian, lived in Montreal, Canada. He was a retired Pullman porter. A son of Mrs. Lillie Satterfield Custus and the late W. Louis Custus, he was the husband of Mrs. Dorothy Custus. Besides his mother and wife, he is survived by one son Calvin Cu1016 Appomatoxstus of the Royal Canadian Air Force, stationed in Germany; one daughter, Mrs. Carol Custus, Montreal; three sisters, Mesdames Bessie Simmons and Gladys Doss of Norfolk and Mrs. Marian Henderson, New York City; and two brothers, George W. and James L. Custus, both of New York. Hale Funeral Home handled burial arrangements.
