Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday December 6, 1938
Jesse Edward Cuthrell, aged 49, died at a local hospital yesterday morning 
at 10:15 o'clock after a long illness.  He was a native of Norfolk, and 
husband of Mrs. Grace May Cuthrell.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Sarah 
Elizabeth McKown, Mrs. Ethel May Lupton, Mrs. Deani Lee Whitehurst and Miss 
Anna Maude Cuthrell, all of Norfolk; four sons, Jesse Edward Cuthrell, Jr., 
and Harry, John and Bucky Cuthrell, all of Norfolk; two brothers, John Enos 
Cuthrell, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Roy Cuthrell, of New York City, and 
three sisters, Mrs. L.R. Blassingham, Mrs. W.M. Townsend and Mrs. E.J. 
Sullivan, all of this city.
Funeral services will be conducted privately at the Gregory Funeral Home 
tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock, with the Rev. J.L. Blassingham officiating.  
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley.
