George L. Cuthriell and daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Frazier Winingder, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at the residence of her granddaughter, Mrs. C. Wilson Russ, 1934 Bay View boulevard, yesterday morning at 6 o’clock after a long illness. Mrs. Cuthriell is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Estelle Mayo; a son, Stephen W. Cuthriell; three sisters, Mrs. Florence L. Carmine, Mrs. Blanche E. Mayo and Mrs. Josie V. Campbell, all of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Mrs. Paul C. Harris, Mrs. C. Wilson Russ and George L. Mayo; three great-grandchildren, Sandra Gail Mayo, George Stephen Mayo and Paul C. Harris, Jr., all of Norfolk, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home, Thirty-fifth street at Colonial avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o’clock by the Rev. T. J. Hawkins, pastor of the First Methodist Church, of which Mrs. Cuthriell was a member. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
