Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Tuesday March 19, 1935
Mrs. Lottie Merwin Dalby, aged 74, died at the residence of her son, Fred C. 
Dalby, 608 Rhode Island avenue, Colonial Place, last night at 7:40 o'clock after 
a long illness.  She was a native of Norfolk and had lived in this section 
practically all her life.  She was the widow of Charles F. Dalby and daughter of 
the late Samuel O. and Mrs. Mary Chapman Merwin, and in addition to her son, is 
survived by one sister, Mrs. F.S. Cook, of Asbury Park, N.J.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Bro., 631 
Westover avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.  The Rev. H.W. Dowding, 
rector of Ascension Episcopal Church, will officiate.  Interment will be in the 
family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
