Virginian-Pilot March 16, 1941
Mrs. Esther Anne Dalby — Funeral services for Mrs. Dalby, who died Friday night, 
will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o’clock in the funeral chapel of James V. 
Derry, 1920 Colley avenue. The Rev. B. M. Persinger, D.D., pastor of Epworth 
Methodist Church, will officiate. Mrs. Dalby is survived by one daughter, Mrs. 
Elsie Talley; one son, William H. Dalby: one half-brother, C. L. Wilson, all of 
Norfolk, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
