Norfolk Virginian November 22, 1891
The funeral of Mr. H. J. Dalby took place from his late residence, No. 277 East 
Main street, at 3 p.m. and was largely attended. Rev. Dr. Wharton, of Freemason 
Street Baptist Church, officiated, and the following gentlemen acted as 
pallbearers, the remains being interred in Elmwood Cemetery: T. P. Warren, Ed. 
Church, T. F. Furguson, Benjamin Rowson, H. B. Wright and J. A. Vellines.
