Dalton, a well known and very popular young citizen, died last evening at the residence, 723 Graydon Park, after ten days' illness, aged 29 years. He was son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Dalton. He and his father were taken sick with grippe at the same time. During their illness he one day jumped from his bed and went into the next room to his father, thinking that the latter was about to pass away, and from thus leaving his bed the son suffered a relapse the next day, which resulted in his death. The deceased was connected with the office of his brother, J. Fred Dalton, general freight and passenger agent of the Norfolk Southern R.R. and was a great favorite with all who knew him. He was of a bright, sunny disposition and was loved by everyone, having many friends to whom the announcement of his death came with deep regret. He was an enthusiastic member of the Elks and found great pleasure in association with his brothers of that fraternity. He was unmarried and is survived by his parents, two brothers, Thomas A. Dalton, of Philadelphia and J. Fred Dalton, of Norfolk and three sisters, Mrs. Robert Randolph, Mrs. J.J. Brown and Mrs. W.B. Tredwell, all of Norfolk. The funeral takes place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Father Waters and Rev. Father Hanlon, officiating. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. His father, Thomas F. Dalton, is now critically ill and has suffered a slight stroke of paralysis. ************************************************************************** DALTON, MICHAEL H. — At the residence, No. 723 Graydon Park, Monday, February 9,at 6 o’clock p.m., MICHAEL H., son of Thomas F. and Elizabeth Jane Dalton, in the 29th year of his age.
