Virginian-Pilot January 29, 1966
NORFOLK- Miss Grace Armstrong Dalton, 83, of 908 Redgate Ave., died Friday in her 
home. A native of Norfolk, she was a daughter of Andrew Joseph Dalton, a member of 
the crew of the CSS Merrimack who participated in the historic battle with the USS 
Monitor during the Civil War. Her mother was Mrs. Rosa Karcher Dalton.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Joseph B. Bell of Virginia Beach.
The Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
