The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday June 18, 1943


Miss Gloria Maureen Daniel, aged 20 years, daughter of Henderson E. and Mrs. 
Eva Holder Daniel, died at 10 o’clock Wednesday night at a local hospital. Miss 
Daniel, a native of Murphy, N.C., and a resident of Norfolk for the past five 
years, resided at 115 West Ocean View Avenue. Besides her parents, she is 
survived by one sister, Mrs. Jean Mitchell, two brothers, Henderson E.,Jr., and 
James Robert Daniel, and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. T.A. Holder, all of 
Norfolk.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, this afternoon at 3 o’clock, with the Rev. 
William W. Malcolm, pastor of Ocean View Presbyterian Church officiating. 
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
