Norfolk - Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 16, at First Calvary Baptist
Church for the Rev. Isaac Daniels, 76-year-old minister, who died exactly 30
days after being installed pastor of the First Baptist Church, West Munden,
Norfolk County.

The eulogy was delivered by the Rev. C. E. Griffin, First Calvary pastor.

The Rev. H. L. McClendon Jr., pastor, president of the Baptist Ministers
Conference of Norfolk, Portsmouth and Vicinity, was in charge of the funeral
services.

The Rev. J. R. Gray sang a solo. Fellow ministers were pallbearers.

Rev. Mr. Daniels, for a number of years an evangelistic minister was installed
pastor of the West Munden church, Sunday, May 10, and died Wednesday, June 10 in
a local hospital following an operation.

During his ministerial career he pastored Macedonia Church at Newport News;
First Baptist, Denbigh VA and First Baptist, South Hill, following which he
turned to evangelistic work, but was later recalled to the pastorate.

A native of Blackwater, Norfolk County, he was born Nov. 26, 1877. He married
Miss Mary Smith and from this union were born Lloyd, Julia, William, Mary
Lizzie, Annie, Isaac, Luther, Milton, Mabel, Garfield and Wyleatha Daniels.
Annie and Wyleatha are deceased.

Morning Glory Funeral Home had charge of burial arrangements.
