Mr. Daniels was born in Blackwater, Va., and was an Army veteran of World War II. He had retired from International Longshoreman's Association, Local (NU)1248, and was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church. He was the widower of Flora Daniels. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Johnson Overton of Norfolk and Betty L. Hawes of Amityville, N.Y.; a son, James E. Daniels of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Mable D. Collins of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two brothers, Milton Daniels of Washington and Garfield Daniels of Lincoln, Del.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in First Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Johnnie White. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be taken to church at 10 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
