He was a native of North Carolina, but had been living in Virginia nine years. He was well known among the tugboat men. He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Mollie Purvis Daniels; two daughters, Inez and Irene, and one son, Roscoe Daniels. He was a son of the late Jeffie and Mrs. Polly Swindell Daniels of Hyde County, N.C. The funeral will be conducted from the residence Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. J.M. Roberts, pastor of the First Christian Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Tidewater Council, No. 30 Jr. O.U.A.M., of which Captain Daniels was a member, has been called out in a body to attend the funeral.
