She was the youngest child born to Lee and Addie Eaton on Dec. 24, 1900 in Norfolk. Next month she would have been 103. She was the widow of Willie Daniels. She attended and completed her high school years at Armstrong High School in Richmond and went on to finish Virginia Normal College, now Virginia State University, in Petersburg, Va. When she returned to Norfolk, she began a teaching career in the public school system on the elementary level and as an administrative clerk until her retirement. Mrs. Daniels was also active in her church family at Grace Episcopal Church throughout her life and served on the Altar Guild for more than 27 years. She was also an active community servant. She was a member of the Daughters of the Elks, IBPOE of W, where she received Past Grand Daughter Ruler honors. Mrs. Daniels served as financial secretary for Norfolk Temple 1A for more than 40 years. She was also a 50-year member of the Margaret Francis Chapter No. 101, Order of the Eastern Star, PHA. Mrs. Daniels is survived by her niece, Addie Eaton Francis of Detroit; her great-niece, Nancy Flake Johnson (spouse of Phillip W. Johnson) of Detroit; her great-nephews, LTC retired Crispin A. Abad (spouse of Katherine T. Abad) of Alexandria, Va., Pedro E. Abad of Norfolk and Dr. Thomas M. Flake Jr. (spouse of Heidi Simonato Flake) of Detroit; eight great-great-nieces and -nephews; a great-great-great-nephew and -niece; other relatives; and a host of friends. Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hale Funeral Home. The Elks rite will be held at 7 p.m. The Reverends Harold J. Cobb and Joseph N. Green will conduct a funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Episcopal Church. The body will lie in repose from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery . A reception will follow at the church.
