NORFOLK - Willie Frank ``Slim'' Daniel Sr., 74, of the 900 block of Johnstons
Road, died March 26, 2002.

Born in Webb, Ala., he retired from the I.L.A. Local 1248 in 1983 after 25 years
of service and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey E. Daniel; a daughter, Marian Daniel; four
sons, Willie F. Daniel Jr., Melvin Daniel, Alvin Daniel and Ardell Daniel; nine
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents,
Pauline and Charles Daniel.

A funeral will be held at noon Saturday at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby
Street, by Brother Ronald Johnson with burial in Calvary Cemetery . The family
will assemble at 928 Johnstons Road at 11:30 a.m. for the procession.
