VIRGINIA BEACH - Maude G. Dann, 90, of 4645 Miles Standish Road, a native of 
Elizabeth City, N.C., and the widow of Silas Smith Dann, died Saturday in a 
Norfolk hospital.
She was a retired, 41-year employee of Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co. and 
was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and Episcopal Church of the 
Advent. She was an officer in Ocean View Democratic Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol D. Smith of Virginia Beach; a son, Silas 
Dann of Arlington; a sister, Kate Hollingsworth of Carterette, N.C., a brother, 
Walter (Fred) Gregory of Norfolk, four grandchildren, and five great-
grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Old Donation Episcopal Church by the 
Rev. Beverley D. Tucker. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will be 
at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial 
donations may be made to Episcopal Church of the Advent.
