Virginian Pilot February 11, 1960

Silas Smith Dann, 69, husband of Mrs. Maude Gregory Dann and son of Silas S. and 
Mrs. Nannie Carroll Dann, died in a Norfolk hospital Wednesday at 11:15 a.m.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Albert J. Smith of Norfolk; 
a son, Silas S. Dann Jr., of Alexandria; a sister, Mrs. George T. Pritchard of 
Richmond, four grandchildren.
Mr. Dann was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and lived at 1624 E. Ocean View Ave.
The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Episcopal Church of 
the Advent, of which he was a member, for a funeral service Friday at 11 a.m. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
