Norfolk Journal and Guide, Sep 28,1963

Norfolk - Miss Mary Elizabeth Darden, a Norfolk native who died in New York 
Sept. 20, will receive final rites at 2 p.m. Friday at First Church of Christ 
Holiness.

The Rev. W. M. Hines will officiate at the service.  Burial will be in Calvary 
Cemetery under direction of Riddick Funeral Home.

The deceased was the daughter of Mrs. Sarah Darden and the late Austin Darden.  
Other survivors include a daughter, Miss Miriam Palmer of New York;   a 
sister, Mrs. Mildred Ellison of Norfolk;  and two brothers, Walter and Howard 
Darden, also of Norfolk.
