Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 19, 1915

Mrs. Fannie H. Darden died at the residence of her sister, Mrs. A.V. Nimmo, 1830 
Lovitt Avenue, last night at 8:45 o'clock. She was 63 years old and a native of 
Norfolk. She is survived by a step-daughter, Mrs. Henry Small of Hampton; one 
sister, Mrs. A.V. Nimmo and two brothers, J.D. Mallory of Norfolk and C.D. 
Mallory of Hampton. The funeral will be held at the residence Monday morning at 
11 o'clock and the services will be conducted by Rev. Reuben Meredith, rector of 
St. Peter's Episcopal Church, of which she was a member. Interment will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.

DARDEN – At the residence of her sister, Mrs. A. V. Nimmo, No. 1830 Lovitt 
avenue, Saturday, December 18, 1915, at 8:45 o’clock p.m., FANNIE H., widow of 
Joseph L. Darden, in the 64th year of her age.
Funeral services at the above residence MONDAY MORNING at 11 o’clock. Friends of 
the family are invited to attend.

The funeral of Mrs. Fannie H. Darden took place yesterday morning at 11 o'clock 
at the residence of her sister, Mrs. A.V. Nimmo, 1830 Lovitt Avenue, and was 
largely attended. The service was conducted by Rev. Reuben Meredith, pastor of 
St. Peter's Episcopal Church, of which she was a member. There were many floral 
tributes. The pallbearers were W.F. Nimmo, J.R. Davis, J.M. Nimmo, W.D. Mallory, 
J.D. Mallory and Kenneth Mallory.
