Norfolk - Mrs. Della Lucille Darden of 1470 Melon St., the widow of Thomas
Darden and a retired practical nurse, died Friday in a hospital.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Celeste Johnson of Norfolk;  six
grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The body was taken to Elton Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake will be held
Wednesday night from 7 to 8.  A funeral will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 27th Street with burial in Calvary
Cemetery.  The family will assemble at the home of a granddaughter, Mrs. Evelyn
Scott, of 1470 Melon St.
