The Virginian-Pilot, Friday, March 30, 1990

NORFOLK - Louise A. Darlington, of the 900 block of Washington Ave. a retired clerk,
died March 26, 1990, in New Jersey.

Mrs. Darlington, a native of Franklin, had retired from the Norfolk public schools
after more than 30 years. She was the widow of Monroe Darlington. She was a member
of St. John A.M.E. Church.

Survivors include an adopted daughter, Melissa R. Joubert of Cliffwood, N.J.; two
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in St. John A.M.E. Church by the Rev.
I.W. Knight. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed in the
church at 10 a.m. Saturday. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
