Dashiels, agent of the Bay Line steamers, in this city, will regret to learn of the death of his only daughter, Miss Kate, which occurred at the residence, 556 Court street, at 12:15 o'clock yesterday, after a lingering illness. The notice of funeral will appear in tomorrow's paper. ****************************************************************** The funeral of Miss Catharine Dashiell will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock from St. Paul's P.E. Church, in Berkley. Norfolk Virginian Sunday January 8, 1893 The funeral of Miss Catharine Dashiell took place Sunday afternoon from St. Paul's Church in Berkley. The services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Gatewood, assisted by Rev. Mr. Funsten. The remains were interred in Magnolia Cemetery. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Edward Floyd, Charles Morrisett, J.F. McAlpine, Arthur Morgan, Daniel Lindsay, H.G. Walton, Frank McCoy and George D. Parker.
