Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 16,1931
The funeral of Mrs. Anne Pendleton Daughtery, the foster
daughter of Undertaker and Mrs. Louis Pendleton, took place
from the Central Baptist Church Monday afternoon. Friends 
and neighbors and lodge sisters all paid glowing tribute to 
her character and worth. Rev. E. Bowens officiated assisted 
by Revs. Diamond, Askew, and Blackwell.

The floral tributes were many and beautiful. Interment in the
Calvary Cemetery.

Local undertakers turned out in a body out of respect and
sympathy to Mrs. Pendleton.
