Virginian-Pilot May 30, 1959
NORFOLK – Mrs. Lelia Ada Nottingham Daughtrey, 86, widow of T. Harvey Daughtrey, 
and daughter of Thomas Jacob and Mrs. Mary Burnett Tarrall Nottingham, died 
Thursday at 11:30 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Daughtrey was a life-long resident of Norfolk, residing at 1135 Lexan 
Avenue.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Daniel C. Beyer of Orange, Calif., and Miss 
Ruth Daughtrey of Norfolk; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood 
Cemetery, for services at the grave today at 2 p.m. by the Rev. William L. 
Lumpkin, D.D., pastor of Freemason Street Baptist Church, of which Mrs. 
Daughtrey was a member.
